Annemarie is a native Bay Area Californian, where she now lives after having traveled extensively in Canada and the South Pacific. She graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. She now lives near San Francisco and the heart of Silicon Valley.
Prior to returning to the Golden State, she spent several years in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she designed mechanical building systems for the built environment. Her aim was to create more energy efficient buildings. She was able to work collaboratively toward this goal with architects and other engineering disciplines. While at that firm, she designed for office towers, hospitals, defense facilities, high rise residential buildings and even designed for a Living Building Challenge. Upon returning to the Bay Area, she transitioned into a role as an energy engineer to impact the consumption of energy in existing buildings.
Annemarie’s boundless energy and enthusiasm has expanded to include officer and board positions with Toastmasters, Engineers Without Borders, the Building Owners and Managers Association and a handful of women in construction organizations. In the Bay Area she is well connected with people in a wide variety of fields.
In her spare time she is an avid rock climber, having climbed peaks in California, Canada, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. She is an avid reader, always interested in exploring new topics of thought.
At SnapCab she is merging her design knowledge and extensive network to successfully bring SnapCab products to a prominent place in the West.
