Our Lean Journey
Lean manufacturing is an integral part of the SnapCab story. Our repeatable processes, driven by lean best practices (such as 5S, Kanban, Kaizen and standard work) allow us to eliminate waste, reduce cost, ensure timely delivery, and remain highly responsive to customer needs. Reduced lead-time, improved quality, reduction of inventory, reduction/elimination of down equipment, teamwork and improved communications are just some of the reasons. To eliminate waste, we incorporate 5S (Sort, Shine, Set in order, Standardize and Sustain), Total Productive maintenance (TPM), Standard Work, Kanbans, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Value Stream Mapping. We also reward our employees for mistakes. Eliminating the fear of making mistakes helps to empower our employees to make improvements.
