  1. SUPERVISED BY: The Shop Foreman has the authority to direct and evaluate the work of this position
  1. RELATES TO: All Managers, Production Area Leaders, Inventory Area Leaders, fellow Production Technicians, and Project Technicians
  1. WORK SCHEDULE Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM + available when necessary for overtime
  1. POSITION OVERVIEW:
  • To manufacture quality product according to established policies/procedures and job specific instructions, using the tools and equipment provided in a safe and efficient manner.  Use good judgment to identify problems and potential problems as an opportunity to improve product and company according to the vision and mission of the company.
  1. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO HOLD THIS POSITION:
  • Able to accurately read and use tape measure
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 20 to 75 pounds frequently
  • 3+ years’ experience preferred, working with laminate, stainless steel, solid wood, and contact adhesives
  • 3+ years’ experience preferred, using power tools: table saw, miter saw, router, panel saw, drills, and circular saw

  1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (SUBJECT TO REVISION):
  • Clean up after yourself immediately and at all times throughout the day
  • Clean, organize, and restock your assigned area at the end of each day
  • Identify and report all problems/potential problems (Turnbacks) on area communication boards:
    • Providing possible solutions is encouraged
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and Maintenance of Lean initiatives
  • Manufacture quality product according to:
    • Established company procedures
    • Job specific instructions
  • Utilization of tools and machinery:
    • Use when properly trained and approved to use
    • Use according to safe and proper standards
  • Continually develop your manufacturing and organizational skills
  • Work with project technicians to problem solve manufacturing issues
  • Attend to other projects as assigned by managers and/or Area Leaders
