  1. WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30+ PM (+ available when needed)
  1. POSITION OVERVIEW:
  • Responsible for supporting the CFO in the daily financial matters of company and affiliated organizations.  Works closely with CFO to pursue maximum organizational performance by Responsible for supporting the CFO in the daily financial matters of company and affiliated organizations.   1. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS TO HOLD THIS POSITION:
  • BS degree in accounting (MBA and/or CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience as Controller/Accounting Manager
  • Hands on experience utilizing financial packages such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, or similar SAGE, QuickBooks, or similar
  • Basic computer skills and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Manufacturing or construction industry background preferred

  1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (SUBJECT TO REVISION): 
  • Assist in the prompt closing, preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
  • Assists in preparation of budgets and financial projections
  • Provides weekly report with key data and project status
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and commissions by customer, rep territory, etc.
  • Provides information to external auditors for yearly financial report and income tax filings
  • Safeguards assets of the company by monitoring internal controls and policies
  • Oversees or performs all duties associated with accounting including: accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, bank reconciliations, payroll, job reporting, maintaining accounting files, etc.
  • Preparation of various month end, quarterly and yearly financial reports
  • Call overdue customers to get payment insurance, human resources, benefits, etc.
  • Receive and review credit applications from new customers
  • Monitors daily cash flow and banking activities
  • Advises on various matters to include legal issues, pricing,
  • Prepares and files monthly state sales tax reports
  • Prepares various monthly journal entries
  • Periodically monitors profitability of product models
  • Calculates and communicates major customer rebates
  • Work with fellow employees to problem solve issues as required
  • Run various reports as requested
  • Attend to other project assignments from CFO as required
  • Experience in A.I.A invoicing
