  1. SUPERVISED BY: The VP of Operations has the authority to direct and evaluate the work of this position
  1. RELATES TO: All Managers, Production Area Leaders, Property Manager, Outside Contractors, Outside Service Technicians, Inspectors
  1. WORK SCHEDULE Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM + available when necessary for overtime
  • To maintain the facility, its systems and machinery according to established policies/procedures and specific instructions, using the tools and equipment provided in a safe and efficient manner. Use good judgment to identify safety issues, problems and potential problems as opportunities to maintain, repair and improve the facility, its systems and machinery according to the vision and mission of the company.
  • Ability to accurately read and use tape measure, calipers,
  • Ability to read & understand blue prints, schematics and, equipment diagrams and operation manuals
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 20 to 75 pounds frequently
  • 3+ years’ experience preferred, facility maintenance and equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Understanding of machinery electrical and ability to identify problems and root cause
  • Understanding of facility electrical
  • Adhere to all rules, regulations, procedures, and policies
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Communicate effectively: verbally and in writing
  • Exercise courtesy and tact when dealing with others
  • Exercise sound judgment when: evaluating situations, offering positive suggestions, and making decisions
  • Maintain acceptable attendance/punctuality standards
  • Maintain quality and quantity work standards
  • Request assistance when necessary, including but not limited to:
    • The safe and efficient use and operation of equipment, tools, machines, and vehicles
    • Clarification/understanding of procedures and instructions
  • Respond to inquiries and/or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Safely perform all job functions
  • Communicate with and schedule property manager for building repairs
  • Work effectively and harmoniously in a culturally and ethnically diverse work force
  • Work in coordination and collaboration with others
  • Exhibit honesty and a supportive attitude
  • Clean up after yourself immediately and at all times throughout the day
  • Schedule all service and maintenance for shop vehicles
  • Clean, organize, and restock your assigned area at the end of each day
  • Identify and report all problems/potential problems (Turnbacks) on area Gemba boards:
  • Assist/facilitate installation and implementation of new equipment
  • Maintain Lean initiatives
  • Conduct and document facility inspections
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required
    • Established company procedures
    • Machinery specific instructions
  • Utilization of tools and machinery:
    • Use when properly trained and approved to use
    • Use according to safe and proper standards
  • Oversee various facility renovation projects
  • Maintain and order Critical Spare Parts
  • Ensure all safety standards are maintained
  • Attend to other projects as assigned by VP of Operations
